What You Need to Register
- Current title or manufacturer’s statement of origin
- Proof of Kansas insurance
- Valid photo ID
- Payment for fees and taxes
- Odometer disclosure (for vehicles under 10 years old)
Tag Renewals
- Renewal notices are mailed before your expiration date
- Renewals available in person at the Treasurer’s office
- Online Tag Renewal — Kansas DMV
- All vehicle work must be completed by 3:00 pm
Transferring a Title
When buying or selling a vehicle, the title must be transferred within 60 days. Both buyer and seller should sign the back of the title. Bring the signed title, proof of insurance, and payment.
